13. June 1942

On June 13, 1942, 33 former house owners regained their properties, which had been divested by the Soviet rule.

This was the first larger scale privatization in German occupied Estonia, but the rest of the process was carried out very slowly, as the Germans were not interested in allocating the resources that they had gained, and did not find it necessary in the current war situation.

However, there were some options to regain one's property during the German occupation.
